Post-Graduates Finish Entrepreneurship Training

Graduates Ready to Start Their Own Businesses

On Saturday, March 29th Sega and its partner, The Magadu Business and Entrepreneurship Training Institute (MEBTI), celebrated the completion of a ten week program in entrepreneurship for 16 of our recent graduates (Class of 2013). During the course each student learned business planning skills and prepared a business plan for starting up her own business.  Their Teacher and Course Coordinator, MEBTI Director Lascelles Chen, will provide 6 months of follow-up technical assistance to the girls. Professor Yasinta Muzanila, Director of Mazimbu Campus (Sokoine University of Agriculture)  served as the Guest of Honor at the graduation ceremony. In addition to being awarded certificates and a financial grant to help start their businesses, each MEBTI graduate also received a Nokia phone from the organization Kidogo Kidogo to use in growing their future businesses.

Congratulations to these young women and good luck starting your businesses in the near future!
