Thanksgiving and the Sega Girls School
This Thanksgiving, a group of high school students in Newton, MA called “Newton Teens for Sega” decided to bake and sell Thanksgiving pies to provide presents for the graduating Sega students.
Earlier this month, they brought samples of their scrumptious pies – Crunchy Caramel Apple, Pumpkin and Caramel Chocolate Pecan (yum!) – to the fundraising party in MA, and took orders for over 50 pies.
Then last week, they baked and delivered the pies, and raised over $1,000. They used the funds raised to buy backpacks as presents for the Form 4 Sega students graduating next Saturday Dec 7.
What a wonderful way to celebrate the Thanksgiving holidays!
As usual, Nurturing Minds and the Sega Girls School have so much to be thankful for – there are so many supporters that give so generously to make a difference for the Sega students!
