Nusura, a Sega student currently on an exchange program at the Friends Central School in Philadelphia, has been busy speaking at local Nurturing Minds’ events and traveling to Colorado!

Back in March Nusura gave a presentation about Sega and Nurturing Minds to a group of 30+ members of Bryn Mawr Presbyterian Church in the suburbs of Philadelphia. Nusura engaged listeners telling them about her background and education at Sega. She also eloquently answered many questions from the audience.

Just over a week ago Nusura also traveled out to visit the Nurturing Minds chapter in Colorado. Nusura met members of the Youths for Nurturing Minds, visited Louisville Middle School and Fairview High School and spent time with NM board members, past Sega volunteers and her sponsor – it was a jam-packed but wonderful visit!

Everyone who has been lucky enough to spend time with Nusura and hear her story has been very impressed and moved by how far she has come. Being able to hear about the work Nurturing Minds is doing directly from a Sega student is incredibly powerful. We encourage anyone who has the opportunity to hear Nusura speak to do so.

A special thank you to everyone who arranged these events or attended them – and especially to Nusura for sharing her story with so many!
